Neck Exercises - Part 1
Forward head posture is due to an anterior (forward) positioning of the cervical spine (neck). This posture problem is usually caused by activities we do throughout our day such as computer use and typing, reading, writing, sitting at a desk, cleaning...anything that has us leaning or curling our upper bodies forward. Although many of us are guilty of adopting this posture while engaged in the activities mentioned above, some of us also remain in this posture at rest. Either way, this habitual posture can contribute to, or cause, upper body and neck pain, neurological problems, spinal joint and disc problems and degeneration and more. The following video will show you some simple and but extremely effective exercises to help correct your forward head posture.
